WHY I'M RUNNING FOR COLORADO HOUSE DISTRICT 33

I am honored to be your State Representative for HD33, representing Adams, Broomfield, and Weld counties, and I humbly ask for your support in the upcoming primary and general election.

I have over seven years of experience working for the State of Colorado, including the immense privilege of serving as Executive Assistant to Colorado's Lieutenant Governor, Dianne Primavera, for five and a half years. Prior to being appointed to the Colorado House of Representatives, I served as a Broomfield City Council member, working to bring income-aligned housing, maintaining effective local governance during unprecedented times, and providing crucial services to my community.

My parents were refugees from the Vietnam War and I was born and raised here in Colorado. I grew up in a broken family and my family still carries significant generational trauma from the war. I’m the first in my family to graduate with a college degree and the first to obtain a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) degree at the University of Colorado Denver. I am currently the only Asian American at the General Assembly; I believe that representation matters.

I have spent my entire professional career dedicated to public service. From my service in organizations like AmeriCorps, National Model United Nations, and the “I Have a Dream” Foundation to my tenure as a state employee, I have been honored to serve my community and to uplift marginalized voices. I pledge to continue fighting for more affordable housing, public transit, to make a Colorado for all, and to be your voice at the State Capitol.
